Alexander Peskanov Program and Master Class Oct. 23 and 24

This Friday, Oct. 23, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Steinway Gallery, we are privileged to a presentation by Alexander Peskanov,on "In Search of Sound" from beginner to virtuoso levels.  Come hear a discussion of the Russian Piano School's approach to achieving a full weight-produced sound, achieving true relaxation and overcoming some technical hazards in the piano repertoire. Demonstrations will be given on how to practice the Russian Technical Regimen requirements for Levels 1-VII of the Piano Olympics Program.  Learn how to develop strong practicing skills and to get more done in much less time!


On Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Steinway Gallery, Peskanov will hold a master class.  This special event was made possible by a grant from Missouri Music Teachers Association. 


Now is the time to sign up for Play-a-thon  on November 21, 22 at the Galleria Mall. Time slots are filling quickly. Registration Form for Play-a-thon


Monster Piano Concert is Sunday, January 17.  This unique event is open to students, friends and family of SLAMTA members.  Multiple performers will play ensemble music on grand pianos and Clavinovas with a conductor. Samples of the music will be available to look at this week at the Peskanov programs.  Plan now to take advantage of this enjoyable opportunity for students of all levels.
