2022 District Auditions

Best suited for your finest students, this competition requires students to play two pieces (preschool through 9th grade), or three pieces (10th grade through collegiate).

​

Online registration will be open sometime during the week of August 15 through August 31, 2022.

​

Registration Deadline:   Wednesday, August 31, 2022

 

*Alternate date:  Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 1:00-4:00 pm

at Dayspring Arts & Education, 2500 Metro Blvd., Maryland Heights, MO 63043 ONLY for the following reasons with official letters or documents attached.

  • Religious commitments 

  • Serious health situation

*Youth orchestra, swim, exam, etc. will not be accepted as a good reason to schedule on alternate date

Registration Fees:

  • Student registration fee:  $35.00

  • *SLAMTA teacher registration fee:  $0.00

  • Non-SLAMTA teacher registration fee:  $100.00

Registration Fees are to be paid in one payment.  

​

*SLAMTA Members must be up-to-date on their 2022-2023 membership fees to receive the SLAMTA teacher fee rate.

Auditions

State Honors Auditions are for those students who received a I rating at District Auditions

​

The MMTA Honors declares a winner, runner-up and honorable mentions. Numerical ratings are given at State Auditions. These auditions do not proceed beyond the state level.

State Auditions:  November 3-6, 2022 at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO), Cape Girardeau, MO

  • Thursday-Saturday, November 3-5 - Wind/String/Percussion/Voice

  • Sunday, November 6 - Piano

Registration Fees:

  • Student registration fee:  $40.00

  • *SLAMTA teacher registration fee:  $20.00

  • Non-SLAMTA teacher registration fee:  $100.00
